I enjoy the Astronomy Picture of the Day on a 'gosh-wow' level, but today's image of the sky over the ruins of the city of Ephesus is just beautiful in its own right.

Friday. Made it through another week at the bread-and-butter factory.

If anyone besides me remembers the Deep Impact space probe, that launches a copper bullet into an asteroid? It's still working, and NASA has extended its mission to do other stuff.

Being the right right place at the right time, it caught the transit of the Earth by the Moon. Go here to download the video.
