And the good news is...

Dr. B is pleased with the way the lip is healing, and doesn't see any need for further surgery.

Large Load off Mind.

It will still take weeks for everything to work again, given the muscle and nerve damage, but when all's done the scarring will be almost unnoticeable.

This is a Good Thing.

Thanks to My Wife, who has been taking care of things and making sure we do everything right.

Sorry I missed this. I hope everything is going well. And since you asked for no spreading of the news, while your lip heals, my lips are sealed.

Thank you. Since it looks like everything is going to heal without significant scarring, I don't see any reason to alarm anyone at this stage.

And I'm going back to big dogs. Let other people deal with the little yappy bouncy bitey ones ;)

I agree. Big dogs are better anyway.

I used to think that big dogs were more expensive to deal with, but after this incident, maybe not.

Depends a lot on the breed. Big muscular dogs, yes; slim dogs like hounds, not really. Also, big dogs tend to have joint and vascular problems that the little dogs bypass, but big dog owners don't have the problems with hypertension that the owners of little fussy yappy spastic inbred braindead pisseverywhere little dogs do.

I'm happy for you.

Big hugs to both of you,

John, I am so glad to hear that your lip is better than expected. I will write you a pass to skip brushing for a few days if you want.
