Tonight, as we were heading for dinner, we saw some kids riding along the sidewalk. The foremost kid was riding his bicycle. A tow rope was tied to the seat post.
At the other end of the rope was a skateboard. On top of the skateboard was a green 65-gallon residential garbage tote, tipped over so that the handle rested on the skateboard, and the two wheels rolled along behind; atop the tote was another kid, riding the garbage tote like a bullrider.
Both kids were enormously pleased with themselves and their unorthodox ride. I was, too, since neither of them were my kid, because then I'd have to kill them. As it was, I was free to enjoy their creativity.
