i haz frens

Those of you who know me through the webcomic forums know my alter ego,  the ambiguous one; patterned after Edward Gorey's  "The Doubtful Guest", it is somewhat like a penguin, but no one quite knows what it is, or what it wants, or why it does what it does.  the ambiguous one appears as my icon in all my webcomic postings.

Kathy and Scott Kellogg, who are some of the nicest and most twisted people I could ever hope to know, sent me a friend for Christmas:

My Doubtful Guest and me

It even has little white shoes...

It's good to have friends.

Eheh. You don't look anything like I pictured you.

That's why I usually use a stunt double, otherwise people are disappointed.

I didn't say I was disappointed. I usually try not to imagine how people look, but as a visual learner, my mind has to create something to stand in for a person.

maybe i shouldn't ask, but
it's been niggling at me: how DID you visualize me? shorter, thinner, hairier, darker, smaller nose, bigger ears, what?

FWIW, my mental picture of you is based on Kathy Kellogg's CTC cartoons.

Re: maybe i shouldn't ask, but
Well... shorter, more ambiguous, fin-like wings...

No, seriously. Um... you live in the right area. Have you met Bunny Brewster? Kinda like him.

I am reminded... I still owe you some pictures.

I agree, she's an earthquake just waiting to happen.

I should have mentioned the Penguins DVD, too. Blame it on euphoria. :)

Of course you have friends. You are a wonderful, charming and creative man. You deserve them. ::hugs::

If you had posted the picture and said only that the Kelloggs sent you a friend, we could have joked about them sending the human.

You look about like I expected, thanks to your ursine cameos in K&K.

Bill is very kind to my baldness in those cameos.

A perfect likeness! I has got a goodie from the Green Acres Twins, too, but it sits waiting for Christmas Morning to open...

Woot for you!

Mine had slid out of the bag while it was in the mail, so it was already 'open'.

That's my story, and I'm sticking with it.

Yours should be equally interesting. A gift card to "The Golden Trough?" We'll soon know...

Too big, although that would be welcome. Sitting on pins and needles! (Ow! Ow!)

I'm just worn out with sitting in the coldest part of the building (any building), waiting for people to come in for their picture, and finding out they came by two hours after the posted close.
