Much better now

Spent three hours this afternoon with an Emergency Preparedness merit badge class.

Working with the Scouts is a superb way to get my mojo back in working order.

I am now able to face the world without wanting to bite chunks out of passersby.

Still not happy about taxes, though.

"not enough interest"? Then has Lee filed a 1099 for you?

Lee will not have anything to do with my money until we are in a legally binding contract.

No I called Wells Fargo and they said that they don't send out letter for interest less than 10 dollars and mine's not even half that.

It's not your money that's drawing interest with him, sweetie B-}

The irony is, I did an emergency course to complete Emergency Preparedness. As I counted my MBs, I kept coming up with eleven requireds. Then, with about two weeks before my 18th Birthday, I realized that Wilderness Survival did not have a silver border, and that I was missing EP. Whoops!

ooooops...

We use a software program to keep track of our Scouts' advancement, so, in theory, something like that would get caught before we started the final BoR process. In theory.

Talking about rescues on thin ice, and one Scout opined that you should drag a rowboat behind you, so that if the ice broke, you could just scramble into the rowboat. Fortunately, he realized what he was saying before everyone started staring at him.

Ahuh. How heavy is the rowboat?

We had an electronic process, too... but I kept sending back the reports that I had my final required MB complete. Jerry (the ASM in charge of advancement) never told me why I was getting the reports back unchanged.
