Sticking it to The Man, Down Under

Yes, I know what that sounds like.

A New Zealand artist applied to his big bank for an $80,000 mortgage.  He was turned down, because artists don't have regular sources of income.  So he withdrew the $190,000 he had with that bank (in $20 bills) and took it to the community bank, which gave him his mortgage.

This is the bank that mistakenly gave $10 million to a gas pump jockey, who was last seen heading across the Chinese border as fast as his legs would carry him, and underwrites Nigerian oil money loans.
